The Intercessor

​Evangelist Demetria Springfield Banks is a powerful intercessor and anointed vessel whose life is surrendered to God's service. As an oracle of intercession and vessel of revelation, she moves under the weight of God's glory to call forth deliverance and breakthrough.

Raised in Memphis, TN, she received salvation at an early age, later joining Temple of Deliverance COGIC in 1992, under the leadership of Bishop Gilbert Earl Patterson. It was there that her spiritual life flourished immensely in many ways. Evangelist Banks received the baptism of the Holy Ghost and began to walk in her calling as an evangelist and intercessor. Training under many seasoned mothers of prayer, God used her to tap into many levels of intercessory prayer. Her gift did indeed make room for her on a plethora of platforms. ​

Evangelist Banks doesn't just pray—she wages spiritual warfare. Her voice, aligned with the Spirit, carries weight that penetrates darkness and invites supernatural release. Those under her ministry often describe a divine shift that brings deliverance, healing and restores hope.

She currently serves as  intercessor coordinator at her local church under the pastorage of Bishop Milton R. Hawkins. She also serves as one of the intercessory prayer team members for her jurisdiction, Tennessee Fourth, as well as one of the intercessors on COGIC's International Department of Women Intercessory Prayer Team. She prays along side many anointed men and women of God during COGIC's national prayer meetings, shut-ins and services.

Her second book, Prayer Pearls: Priceless Inspiration, holds a special place in her heart, touching countless lives and earning recognition as a top-seller. ​​Her weekly Saturday morning prayer hour, BreakAway 30 Prayer, captivates the attention of individuals globally. Praying through for breakthrough, the Word of Knowledge and Wisdom, and prophetic utterances characterize the life changing hour of power.
